Look for Rockin’ Ron at the Festival on Saturday, July 29 with shows on the hour from 11am-2pm!

Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate has performed his entertaining and educational pirate act throughout Northeastern North America at schools. libraries, and events. His sing-along, move-along songs are full of nautical references and boatloads of wordplay that appeal to all ages. In March 2016 Seven Days wrote “Rockin’ Ron writes pleasant, often punny sea shanties that leave kiddos smiling and, as importantly, don’t drive parents to walk the plank.” About the song Black Snake Tale, they added “the singsong melody should appeal to old salts of any age.”

There is an undeniable campy appeal to his ruminations… he infuses enough clever wit to straddle the fine line betwrron_skull_logo_blue backgroundeen pandering and pleasing. Particularly on the Devo-ish “Buccaneer Bounce,” the punky “Cranky Pirate,” and “Scurvy Dog and Scaredy Cat,” the Friendly Pirate proves just goofy enough to delight young scalliwags and roguish enough to keep Raffi-weary parents from walking the plank.” – Seven Days (Vermont’s Arts and Entertainment Weekly)
