The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival will hold the Festival at Burlington’s Waterfront Park July 27-30, 2017. The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival is excited to continue a ten-year tradition of exciting events at Burlington’s Waterfront!

IMGP9716The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival has been named a Top 100 North American Event by the American Bus Association and a Top Ten Vermont Summer Event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce and is well-supported by both the state and regional chambers, as well as the city of Burlington. Daily admission is free to most events with select events requiring admission.

I commend the festival for bringing people of all generations down to our remarkable waterfront to experience a great variety of crafts, activities, music and of course, boats. Now heading towards its tenth year, the Festival is a four-day celebration of Lake Champlain, showcasing hundreds of exhibits throughout sites on the Burlington Waterfront (Burlington Boathouse, Perkins Pier, Spirit of Ethan Allen, Lake Champlain Ferries, Northern Lights Lake Champlain Cruises, US Coast Guard, Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center, ECHO Leahy Center, Burlington’s Waterfront Park and more). This year, enjoy local music, nightly concerts, Water Works Fair, Paddleboarding, Antique Boat Show and Parade, Waterfront Exhibits, International Food Court, Vendors, and more! Past Festival activities have included: Lake Champlain Antique & Classic Boat Show on Saturday; ALS Silent Auction; Non-Profit Palooza; Pirate 5k Run/Walk; Stand Up for the Lake; Mission Possible; Dog Zone; Comedy Zone; free, daily music on multiple stages; four evening ticketed concerts, presented by Higher Ground; Kid Zone with free kids’ activities; international food court and crafts; beer tent; maritime exhibits and more! The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival has once again joined with LOCAL MOTION for the Fest! Ride your bike! Free Secure Bike Parking, like a coat check for your bike, was available. Travel by bike and beat the traffic. Hand over your bike (helmet, extra bags, whatever) to one of our trained staff or volunteers, who will watch it closely while you are enjoying your event worry free.
