Thanks to everyone who made last years Festival the success it was and we look forward to another great year.The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival 2008 celebration promises great entertainment, a variety of New England cuisine and exciting activities in a spectacular setting; Burlington's Waterfront on the shores of Lake Champlain. The Maritime Festival is looking forward to the 2009 Lake Champlain Quadricentennial Celebration of Samuel de Champlain’s first visit and exploration of Lake Champlain.
The Burlington Waterfront has grown from what once was an industrial/commercial site to what is today a beautiful and active recreational Waterfront. The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival 2008 will join with the many attractions and activities that line the Lake Champlain Burlington Waterfront to celebrate the past, present and future of Lake Champlain and Burlington.
Stroll along the shores from venue to venue, view the Classic Boats. Watch long boat, canoe, kayak races and Dragon Boat demonstrations. Experience boat building, sample local fare, enjoy music and bring the children for hands on exhibits that will serve to entertain as well as educate. Take a walking or bike tour, or a train ride.
Join us in a festival of all things maritime.
